Lindenwood-On May 2, 2020, Boone County Deputy Sheriff and Lindenwood resident Scott R. Bowers died of a heart incident.

Bowers is a big supporter of the Lynn-Scott-Rock fire zone. For all those lucky enough to know him, he is an excellent policeman, father, husband and friend.

In order to commemorate him, his family generously donated so that Lynn-Scott-Rock FPD can continue to obtain the latest and greatest equipment, hoping to help others when needed. LSRFPD can fix two sets of DeWalt battery-powered tools, one set for each station-Lindenwood and Davis Junction. Each set includes a cutting tool, reciprocating saw, light tower, angle grinder and fiber cement cutting shears for cutting automotive glass, as well as additional batteries and saw blades.

The family appeared at the fire station on October 23, met with several members of the fire department, and gave these tools in Scott's name.

We all miss him very much, but know that his memory will last forever, and the generosity provided by his family will help countless others for many years to come.
